Delivering on social and people sustainability agenda

Sustainability is no longer a fringe activity. As organizations make commitments and set Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals, they need to transform and become sustainable at the core. While the environmental agenda remains critical, companies need to pay increased attention to the social dimension of their goals and ensure people sustainability. As organizations re-design work, it is important employers raise the bar and address the unmet needs of their people – from employees to contractors and workers in the broader ecosystem through to supply chains. Organizations have to rise to the challenge of building healthy, resilient, and equitable future of work by adopting bold commitments to new work standards. One in four companies are moving toward AI-driven nudges that prompt employees to advance their health, wealth and career prospects. But only 15% of companies are targeting reskilling toward those ‘most at-risk’ of job displacement.

Responsible organizations will differentiate themselves as employers of choice by excelling in addressing the ‘S’ in ESG and ensuring heightened standards. This includes fair rewards, decent living wages and pensions, flexibility and mobility, total well-being, and development and reskilling, with an inspiring purpose and a strong diversity, equity and inclusion culture.

50% of employees want to work for an organization that offers responsible rewards.
