Munich Re - Video transcript
Speaker 1:
There's been a shift in what workers value and what they're looking for from their employer. It's no secret that employees have more choice than ever. Our research tells us that Canadian employees put their physical health and fitness workload and life balance and mental and emotional health is top concerns. Employers must respond to the change in demand by reimagining employee benefits.
Speaker 1:
This means challenging the traditional definition of benefits and rethinking even the way they're being delivered to attract and retain top talent. Put your people first and support their personal journeys anywhere, any time by offering a digital wellbeing solution. Here's how our solution helped address the needs of one of our clients.
Speaker 2:
At Munich Re, we had a host of great health and wellness offerings for employees. However, they were spread across multiple providers and varied by entity within the Munich Re group, making them hard for our employees to find and take advantage of. We set out to modernize our programs not only to break down barriers to care, but we also wanted to create a singular platform that provided greater choice and flexibility for our employees.
Speaker 2:
We looked for partners with similar values, strong reputations of success and industry expertise. Not only did Mercer share in our commitment to building integrated health and wellness solutions for our employees, but they were also extremely collaborative and hands on with Mercer's help. We were able to develop a scalable digital solution that was customized to meet our needs, which provided great cost savings and more effective vendor management.
Speaker 2:
This has enabled us to partner with even more vendors to bring an expanded set of employee offerings and create parity between our different entities. The results have been great. We're now able to provide employees with an even wider range of health and wellness offerings across any demographic. It's simple to navigate, offers great flexibility and significantly improves the employee experience.
Speaker 2:
As a company that offers hybrid working, this is incredibly important in being able to support our employees and their families wherever they are and whenever they need it. Our talent is our greatest asset, so we will continue to evolve, diversify and modernize our offerings to ensure our employees receive the most comprehensive health and wellness support.

Catherine:
One of the biggest challenges we've had over the past few years has been in terms of wellbeing. As you know, wellbeing is at the core of our values at Alithya. And it became important to us to find a solution for our employees wherever they work, whether it's at home or at the office. So just as we are trusted advisors to our clients, we were looking for a trusted partner to help us implement a solution that would meet our ambition and Mercer as a leading expert, and benefits was able to provide us the best in class service. We were looking for the solution that was provided to us as a portal. And we branded it internally as Alithya wellness portal. Our employees are able to access it wherever they are online and to choose from a wide variety of offerings that touches our four wellness pillars, which are mental, physical, social, and financial wellbeing. As an employer, the portal gave us a competitive advantage in the very aggressive recruitment market from a talent retention and attraction perspective. We were looking for an evolution of our employee experience and that's exactly what the Alithya wellness portal is. Giving us something I'm really excited about is that this solution supports our ESG initiatives because it provides equitable access to employees to wellness solution. And we believe that there will be more digital innovation in the future.
